Who is the Tomales Volunteer Fire Company?
The Tomales Volunteer Fire Company (TVFC) is a volunteer non-profit organization that supports the provision of emergency medical and fire suppression services within the Tomales, Dillon Beach, and Marshall areas. We operate under the auspices of the Marin County Fire Department.
What do Volunteer Firefighters do?
Volunteer firefighters fight fires, provide emergency medical services, operate fire engines & apparatus, and help keep the Tomales, Dillon Beach, and Marshall areas safe. You can learn lifesaving skills, support your community, be part of a team, and have lots of fun doing it!
What is the commitment?
Being a Volunteer Firefighter does take commitment, but it is well worth it! You commit to about 5 hours per month for training and we commit to getting you trained. TVFC is a unique organization where you get to participate in the activities that suite your interests. You can learn to operate a fire engine, become a certified Emergency Medical Responder / Emergency Medical Technician, or learn to support complex rescue operations. It’s all up to you!
We Need Everyday People Like You!
Do you enjoy new challenges and helping others? The Tomales Volunteer Fire Company is looking for new volunteers! We provide all the training and equipment. All you need is a willingness to learn new skills, dedication, and enthusiasm. If you are considering a career in the fire service or just want to help your community, please contact us!
